As a show kennel, it is important to have a great handler. We have been very fortunate for our son, Steve,
who is also a partner. Steve has been showing and finishing our dogs for over fourteen years now.
Our mastiffs have produced such honors as: MCOA B.I.S.S., MCOA Hall of Fame,
Multi-Group Placers, MCOA Collar award winners,
PSMC Breeder of the Year four times, and of course Best of breed Westminister,
and Award of Merit winner Westminister.

I have to say that percentage wise, I think you have as many good mastiffs as anywhere else does;
I always think that only about 10%, anywhere, are good, and the rest range from satisfactory to
pet quality. I say the same thing about the dogs here or in America - it's only that in those places
the numbers are so much greater. I feel that Smok'n Lad should contribute a good deal to
the breed and will be very interested to hear how things progress.
